Here at AFC, we combine the life-changing stories of the Bible, with fun-filled games and hands-on activities, so that your kiddos will have a blast learning and growing with us! Fusion Kids is offered during both of our Sunday services, with additional age-divided classroom programming during the Sunday School Hour and activities Wednesday evenings, during regular programming times.
Fusion Kids Instructions
Your kiddos, grades Kindergarten through 6th grade, will remain with their parents/guardians in the adult worship service until our Lead Pastor, Dr. Joe, dismisses them. At that point, they are accompanied by our Children’s Pastor, Pastor Taylor, and volunteers, to the Fusion Kids Worship Center.
Please remember to check your kiddos in before the service, or follow them out at dismissal to check them in at that time.
We are pleased to offer Nursery and Pre-K for our littlest at AFC!
Our nurseries have been recently remodeled with all new developmentally appropriate toys, furniture, and Christ-centered activities! We are excited about our new treehouse which is a large, padded floored play structure in the open area of our Nursery wing! Our staff and volunteers have all been through Ministry Safe which involves an extensive application process, background check, interview, and references. We have the utmost confidence in our workers.
Our Nurseries/ Pre-K are divided as follows
- Birth-12 months
- 12 months to 2 ½
- 2 ½ to 4
- 4 until Kindergarten- upstairs in a separate classroom. They do not start worship in the sanctuary but head up to their class upon check-in.
Kidmin Check-In System
At AFC, we utilize the Kidmin Check-In System to successfully track your kiddos, notify you by text, of any needs, and ensure that they are delivered back to you safely at the end of our programming.
Upon your arrival, at AFC, be sure to proceed to our Fusion Kids Check-In Station (a greeter will gladly assist you in locating it at the entrance to our Fusion Kids Wing). A staff member will be there to register your kiddos Birth through 6th grade, and print a tag for them to wear, a tag for their bag (if they have one) and a tag for you to take with you to service. Only the person with that scannable tag will be able to pick-up that kiddo at the end of services.
Programs that serve children and youth play a vital role in the lives of our children and in our community. Ministry programs help to develop each child’s intellectual, social, spiritual or physical capacity. As they serve, ministry leaders cannot forget their responsibility to safeguard each child, as well as those who serve them. MinistrySafe was created by legal professionals who are sexual abuse experts. After decades of litigating sexual abuse cases, Gregory Love and Kimberlee Norris founded MinistrySafe to help ministries meet legal standards of care and reduce the risk of sexual abuse by creating preventative measures tailored to fit the needs of churches, camps and ministry programs.
This is an internationally recognized system, that AFC has invested in to keep your kiddos safe. It involves a 5 part Safety Plan: Awareness Training, Skillful Screening Process, Policies and Procedures, Background Checks, and Monitoring and Oversight.
