The AFCNAZYTH youth group (6th-12th grade) offers students an exciting and transformative journey of faith, friendship, and personal growth. Rooted in biblical truth and powered by authentic relationships, students are invited to explore who they are in Christ, deepen their spiritual foundations, and discover their purpose. Through dynamic worship, relevant teaching, fun events, and service opportunities, youth in AFCNAZYTH walk together through life’s challenges, encouraged to lead boldly, love deeply, and live fully for Jesus. It’s not just a group—it’s a movement of young people growing stronger in their faith and making a real impact.

Worship Gatherings

Our worship gatherings are at the heart of what we do—inviting students to experience the presence of God in a real and personal way. Through dynamic music, engaging messages, and intentional times of prayer, these gatherings help students grow in their understanding of who God is and how He is at work in their lives. It’s a space where students can come just as they are and leave encouraged, challenged, and equipped to live out their faith.

Discipleship

Discipleship is where lasting spiritual growth happens. Through small groups, Bible studies, and one-on-one mentoring, students are given the tools and relationships they need to grow deeper in their walk with Jesus. This is a space for honest conversations, thoughtful questions, and personal accountability. We believe that spiritual maturity is best nurtured in community, and discipleship provides the support and structure to make that possible.

Events + Activities

We believe that fun and fellowship are vital parts of a thriving youth ministry. Our activities and events—whether it’s game nights, retreats, service projects, or outreach events—create opportunities for students to build friendships, strengthen community, and invite others into the life of our ministry. These moments are more than just fun—they’re intentional, relational, and often life-changing.

Midweek Gatherings
Midweek Youth? Yeah, It's a Thing.

Looking for something real on a Wednesday night? Come hang out with us from 5:30 to 7:45 PM at the Student Center—it’s for all 6th–12th graders, and it’s where faith meets fun. There’s live worship (yep, led by students like you), straight-up honest talks about stuff that matters, and small group conversations that go deep without getting weird.

Did we mention we’ve got snacks. Plus time to chill in the gym, café, or arcade. Whether you’re coming with friends or flying solo, there’s a spot for you—and you’ll be glad you came.
Teen Sunday School
Sunday Mornings That Actually Matter

Roll out of bed and head to the Student Center from 10:00 to 11:00 AM—we’ve got a spot just for you. Whether you're in Jr. High or Sr. High, you’ll dig into a book of the Bible and talk about what it actually means for your life, not just what it says. It’s chill, real, and full of good conversations with people who care.
No long lectures here—just honest discussion, some deep dives into Scripture, and a chance to lead and be led in prayer. Come ready to grow, ask questions, and connect with God in a way that makes sense for you.
Youth Worship Team
Youth Worship Team: It’s Not About Performing

If you’ve got a heart for worship and a desire to lead others into God’s presence, the Youth Worship Team might be your next step. We’re not looking for perfect musicians—we’re looking for students who care more about worshiping than performing. This team is all about pointing people to Jesus, not putting on a show.

Whether you sing, play an instrument, or want to be part of our seasonal choir, there’s a place for you here. We practice on Monday nights and lead during midweek gatherings and special events throughout the year. If you’re ready to use your passion to serve, we’d love to help you grow as a worship leader.
Seasonal Opportunities
Jr. High Camp
Camp = the best week of your summer. If you’re in 6th–8th grade, come join us at Shiloh Park for a week of insane fun, powerful worship, real talk about faith, and late-night laughs with your crew. You’ll make new friends and memories you won’t forget.

Sr. High Camp
Need to hit pause and get real with God? Sr. High Camp is a week away at Shiloh Park just for 9th–12th graders. It’s where friendships go deeper, worship hits different, and you realize how much God actually has for you.

Destination Unknown
Think you can handle a little mystery? Destination Unknown is one epic, secret-filled week of travel, adventure, and growing in your faith—all without knowing where we’re going. It’s spontaneous, unforgettable, and way more than just a trip.

Missions Trip
Ready to make a difference and grow your faith like never before? Our summer Missions Trip is a full week of serving others, working hard, and letting God stretch your heart. It’s not easy—but it’s so worth it.

Celebrate Life
Celebrate Life is an inspiring evening where students have the opportunity to showcase their talents through music, art, and athletics. This talent showcase is a great way to celebrate the gifts God has given and see how the students are growing in their faith through creative expression. It’s an event of joy, worship, and connection for all participants.

Nazarene Youth Conference 2026
In 2026, our students will have the exciting opportunity to attend the Nazarene Youth Conference in Salt Lake City, UT. This life-changing event gathers thousands of students from across the nation for worship, learning, and connection. It's an event that challenges, equips, and inspires students to live out their faith in powerful ways.

Fall Retreat
Fall Retreat offers students a weekend away from the hustle of life to connect with God and each other. This retreat focuses on building community, spiritual renewal, and fun, all set in an inspiring and restful environment. It’s a weekend that helps students kick off the school year with a deeper sense of purpose and connection to their faith.
Tim Team
Tim Team: Leadership & Discipleship Development

Tim Team is a selective leadership and discipleship program designed for students who feel called to deeper spiritual growth and greater responsibility within the church. Meeting on select dates throughout the year, participants are chosen through the recommendation of the youth pastor and Youth President. This program is ideal for students eager to explore their calling and grow as Christlike leaders in their communities.

The curriculum focuses on training students to be disciple-makers while continuing to grow as disciples themselves. Through teaching and hands-on experiences, students learn leadership principles, how to welcome and assimilate newcomers, and how to contribute meaningfully to the planning of youth ministry events. It’s a transformative opportunity that prepares students for present and future ministry involvement.
