Here at AFC, we combine the life-changing stories of the Bible, with fun-filled games and hands-on activities, so that your kiddos will have a blast learning and growing with us! Fusion Nursery and our Pre-K/K program is offered during both of our Sunday services, with additional age-divided classroom programming during the Sunday School Hour and activities Wednesday evenings, during regular programming times.
Our nurseries have been recently remodeled with all new developmentally appropriate toys, furniture, and Christ-centered activities! We are excited about our new treehouse which is a large, padded-floored play structure in the open area of our Nursery Wing! Our staff and volunteers have all been through Ministry Safe which involves an extensive application process, background check, interview, references, and oversight. We have the utmost confidence in our workers.
Early Childhood is Divided as Follows
They do not start worship in the sanctuary but head up to their class upon check-in.
TouchPoint Check-In System
At AFC, we utilize the Touchpoint Check-In System to successfully track your kiddos and ensure that they are delivered back to you safely at the end of our programming. Upon your arrival, at AFC, be sure to proceed to our Fusion Kids Check-In Station (a greeter will gladly assist you in locating it at the entrance to our Fusion Kids Wing). A staff member will be there to register your kiddos, Birth through 6th grade, and print a tag for them to wear and a tag for you to take with you to service. Only the person with that identifying coded tag will be able to pick-up your kiddo(s), in that same location, at the end of services.
Programs that serve children and youth play a vital role in the lives of our children and in our community. Ministry programs help to develop each child’s intellectual, social, spiritual or physical capacity. As they serve, ministry leaders cannot forget their responsibility to safeguard each child, as well as those who serve them. Ministry Safe was created by legal professionals who are sexual abuse experts. After decades of litigating sexual abuse cases, Gregory Love and Kimberlee Norris founded Ministry Safe to help ministries meet legal standards of care and reduce the risk of sexual abuse by creating preventative measures tailored to fit the needs of churches, camps and ministry programs.
This is an internationally recognized system, that AFC has invested in to keep your kiddos safe. It involves a 5 part Safety Plan: Awareness Training, Skillful Screening Process, Policies and Procedures, Background Checks, and Monitoring and Oversight.
Each child’s temperature is being taken with a touch-free temporal scanner before admittance to our programming. Any child with a temperature of 99.9 and above will remain with their guardian. If your littles have been sick, please ensure that they have been fever/symptom-free for 48 hours.
We do not accept diaper bags and sippy cups into the nursery/ Pre-K area to prevent the transmission of needless germs. Instead, each child, including guests, has a bin marked with their name that is solely for their supplies and use. Feel free to send in diapers, wipes, or any other regular supplies into the nursery to be used solely for your child and placed in your child’s bin. We have an extensive stock of sippy cups that are thoroughly sanitized by staff after each use.
In addition, within that bin are the crayons, supplies, etc. that they may need during their time with us.
Our staff takes the precaution of using masks while with your kiddos and using gloves during the handling of food, cups, or diapers.
We are using Covid specific cleansers for the nurseries and Pre-K area, are sanitizing regularly during programming times, and each room is being sprayed at the end of any event to prepare for the next time your kiddos are with us.
