Ministry to Women

When you picture the word ARISE, you probably think of the sun coming up in the morning, casting it’s spreading light over everything, as it coaxes the darkness to fade and eventually flee. As we, the women of AFC, arise in our intimacy with Jesus, the light that shines through us connects us to other women, who need the warmth and peace that only He can bring. Our desire is to create an environment that allows women to grow in their faith, but also in their relationships with each other. We are a community of women of all ages, reaching out to be in friendship with others.

Isaiah 60:1 – “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.”

Women's Wednesday Evening Fall Bible Study

I want to do something meaningful for God, but I don’t know what to do, or how.

Sound familiar?

Come with expectation to learn  how to overcome insecurities, busyness, and other obstacles in order to focus your gifts and passions on your unique God-assignment. With biblical insights and inspiring stories from a variety of women, this study will speak to every woman who has felt a nudge from God–from the visionary who wants to end poverty to the empty-nest mom who feels called to help the young single mother next door.

Join Tricha Craig as she leads this amazing study beginning September 13. Books will be available in class.

Women's Tuesday Morning Fall Bible Study

The word fierce is trendy. It is used to describe women who are extreme athletes, high-level executives, or supermodels. Women at the top of their game. But what about the rest of us? Can we be fierce? Absolutely! In fact, women like us have been changing the world for thousands of years—many who received little fanfare yet lived fiercely anyway. In this six-week study we will look at lesser-known female characters in the Bible and the ways they changed the world by living into God’s calling, including:

The midwives of Egypt (Shiphrah and Puah), who made hard decisions in the face of evil
Deborah, who was an unlikely and powerful leader
Naaman’s slave girl, who bravely points others to God’s healing power
The Woman at the Well, who boldly repented and shared her faith
Lois and Eunice, who parented with intentionality and effectiveness
Dorcas, who showed kindness to those in need.

As we explore their lives, we will discover how we too can live into our callings, honor the Lord, and even change the world through our courage, faithfulness, and obedience.
